Burnt Pine Rocklands
These drawings were made by walking through the burnt pinelands with the paper fashioned into a column around the artist's waist, so the burnt tips of shrubs, palmetto fronds, and pine branches made the drawings. The duration of the walk determined the amount of mark-making.
